Installing EUPORIAS Glossary

installation

It is a Drupal 7 module so you can install it as a standard one (put it in the sites/all/modules directory)
Once you had installed it, you will find a new tab in the taxonomy module configuration page.
The tab is called "sync".
In this new tab, you have to specify the following parameters:

Note: the google doc url must be edited manually to get the exportation URL, for the EUPORIAS glossary it becomes:
Google doc:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtA4KdhtaAiwdExYelR6VXB5aVM0RXhVZEdycVJkRlE&usp=sharing#gid=0
Exportation URL:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AtA4KdhtaAiwdExYelR6VXB5aVM0RXhVZEdycVJkRlE&output=csv

Once you have configured the module, the synchronization task will be executed using the cron.
It will search for new terms and/or updates in the description value of existing terms. The key column is used to compare terms (the comparison is case-sensitive). The module never removes existing terms so you can use both shared and website-specific terms in the same vocabulary.

Configuration

Note that two Glossary pages will be generated based on the two vocabularies. Integration is done at this moment by refering to each glossary from the other.

 • Go to 'Configuration', Lexicon settings
 • General settings: enable the climate4impact and EUPORIAS vocabularies
 • Lexicon page: enable 'seperate letters', 'Show lexicon term descriptions', 'Link terms to the taxonomy term page', 'Link related terms on the Lexicon page'.
 • Term markings settings: enable Match type=Word, Case sensitivity=Case insensitive, Replace matches='only the first match'
 • Link style: enable 'Use abbr element', link type=normal, term link class=lexicon-term
 • enable 'clear the cache when settings are submitted
 • Save configuration

Switch to the Paths, titles and intro settings of the Lexicon settings

Edit the Path, title and intro settings for climate4impact:
 • The path of the lexicon for this vocabulary = climate4impactglossary
 • The title of the lexicon for this vocabulary = Climate4impact Glossary
 • The optional introduction text for this vocabulary = This contains the climate4impact glossary terms. For the shared definitions see the EUPORIAS Glossary
Edit the Path, title and intro settings for EUPORIAS:
 • The path of the lexicon for this vocabulary = EUPORIAS-Glossary
 • The title of the lexicon for this vocabulary = EUPORIAS Glossary
 • The optional introduction text for this vocabulary = This glossary contains shared vocabulary items (SPECS and EUPORIAS projects). For the climate4impact definitions see the climate4impact Glossary
 • enable 'Clear the menu cache when settings are submitted.'
 • Save configuration
