Description

The sulfurdioxide_total_vertical_column data is not extracted from NRTI files, the field is not present in the S5P_NRTI_MPC_SO2____20190205T000003_20190205T235503_20190212T165618.nc output file.

Cause found: The limit for the solar zenith angle where no retrievals are expected was set to 88 degrees. This is too high for both SO2 and HCHO, as they retrieve data for solar zenith angles up to 85 (?) degrees. A NRT granule may fall fully beyond 85 degrees, and will therefore only contain fill values in SO2 and HCHO. If the granule is fully beyond 88 degrees the granule will be removed, but if part of the granule has a SZA between 85 and 88 degrees, then the variable was removed. By setting the limit to 80 degrees, we still have the desired effect, but the condition is not triggered as frequently.

This will require a code update. Note that only NRT is affected by this.

Need to rethink some assumptions, as the start of a day is over the pacific, and this may result in a full empty orbit, or at least empty for a significant part of the orbit.
